X user @JONAHFORMAN shared the cat-nose comparison and asked Elon Musk, “is this true?” Musk replied with one word: “Yes.” This exchange became the original Tesla Cat meme moment and helped the visual joke spread as internet lore.
The reply was posted on April Fools’ Day in 2019 and referred to the cat-nose meme—not to $TCAT, which did not yet exist. It is not an endorsement, affiliation or partnership with Tesla Cat.
